Qualifications

Von A. Campbell's aviation career started in the United States Air Force where he was a mechanic and then pilot. He flew CV-240's, C-130's, and ended his Air Force career as a Lockheed Jetstar (VC-140) and BE-90 (VC-6) pilot in the Special Air Missions Wing at Andrews AFB, Maryland.

 

After retirement from the military in 1977, he became the Aviation Director for Transco Energy Company in Houston, Texas.

 

A 1982 article in Business and Commercial Aviation stated, "Transco Energy Company's 'upward and outward mobility' is reflected in the innovative character of its flight department, which makes extensive use of computers in order to maintain an efficient operation.

 

In 1984, the cover of Professional Pilot magazine was dedicated to Transco Energy Company's flight department.

 

Type ratings include L-1325 (Lockheed Jetstar), LRJet (flew both the Lear 25 and Lear 55), and DA-20 (Falcon 20).

Consulting assignments have included:

Retained to dispose of Transco Energy Company's helicopters, facilities, and spare parts.
Turn key development of an aviation operation for an oil company (i.e., purchase of aircraft, personnel interviews, manual development, MNPS and MEL approvals).
Assisting FlightSafety International develop a Part 135 Manual Library.
Assisting FlightSafety International write and obtain FAA approval for their Part 142 Training Programs at the Houston Learning Center.
Safety Audits.
Numerous RVSM International Operation Manuals and FAA RVSM/MNPS/RNP-10 Application Approvals.
Numerous DRVSM Operation Manuals and FAA RVSM Application Approvals.
Numerous RVSM Maintenance Program Approvals.
Corporate Flight Operations Manual Development.
 Director of Operations for a small specialized Part 135 Operator.

Education includes a Masters degree in Business Management from Central Michigan University.

 IS-BAO Accredited Auditor

Associate Consultants with experience and skills required for the consulting assignment are used as needed.
